Verse 99nirnimittaṃ bhavej jñānaṃ nirādhāraṃ bhramātmakam  tattvataḥ kasyacin naitad evaṃbhāvī śivaḥ priye Cognitions arise without cause and without objective basis, their nature being [merely] an eddy [of mental energy]. In reality, these [cognitions] belong to no one. One who directly senses the truth of this is Śiva [himself], O beloved.
Simplified Steps
Sit and watch thoughts come and go
Notice how they arise spontaneously, apparently without cause
Notice that the sense of ownership (“my thoughts”) is itself a thought about thoughts
Repose in pure beingness, free of ownership and denial of ownership.
