Yukti #29Verses 56–57
Embodied III
Verse 56bhuvanādhvādi-rūpeṇa cintayet kramaśo ’khilam ।
sthūla-sūkṣma-para-sthityā yāvad ante mano-layaḥ ॥One may contemplate the Path of Worlds or [any of the other Paths] completely in proper sequence: through stabilizing [this contemplation] in coarse, subtle, and supreme forms, in the end the mind dissolves [into the Absolute].
Verse 57asya sarvasya viśvasya paryanteṣu samantataḥ ।
adhva-prakriyayā tattvaṃ śaivaṃ dhyātvā mahodayaḥ ॥Thoroughly meditating on the adhva-prakriyā, up to the limits of this entire universe, then on the Śaiva Tattva, there comes the Great Dawn of liberation.
Planning note: Requires studying each of the tattvas in the section of Tantra Illuminated titled “The 36 Tattvas: Principles of Reality”. For each tattva, sit in a comfortable posture and meditate on any colors, symbols, and/or mantras associated with it.
Simplified Steps
•
Study the 36 tattvas in Tantra Illuminated, and take several days or a week to contemplate each tattva in depth
•
If the tattva has an associated symbol or colour (as for the first five), meditate on it daily
•
Notice how the last 5 tattvas are not comprehensible through thought; the mind becomes still in their contemplation (if you have contemplated the other 31 tattvas first)
