Yukti #10Verse 36
Embodied III
Do not do this practice for more than a few minutes at a time.
Verse 36kara-ruddha-dṛg-astreṇa bhrū-bhedād dvāra-rodhanāt ।
dṛṣṭe bindau kramāl līne tan-madhye paramā sthitiḥ ॥If the yogī] closes the doors [of the senses] with the ‘weapon’ by which [external] perception is blocked with the [assistance of the] hands, [and] pierces the eyebrow-center, he will [eventually] perceive the Bindu. When it dissolves, [one will experience the state of] Supreme Stasis in one’s Center.
Simplified Steps
•
Adopt ṣaṇmukhī mudrā, blocking the ears with the thumbs and the eyes with the index fingers, placing gentle pressure on the eyes
•
Sing/chant the mantra HŪṀ, letting it create a buzzing hum in the center of the head, like a swarm of bees
•
Let the vibration pierce the ājñā‐cakra; when this happens, you will perceive a steady glowing point of light at the eyebrow‐center
•
Let the point of light dissolve (of its own accord) into deep stillness
