Yukti #76Verse 101
Divine II
Verse 101kāma-krodha-lobha-moha-mada-mātsarya-gocare ।
buddhiṃ nistimitāṃ kṛtvā tat tattvam avaśiṣyate ॥When [one finds oneself] in the field of craving, lust, anger, greed, confusion, intoxicated excitement, or jealousy, make the mind still & soft [right in the middle of the emotion]: reality is that which remains [when the feeling has passed through].
Planning note: Practice this Yukti when feeling an intense emotion, such as craving, anger, excitement, jealousy, and so on.
Simplified Steps
•
Feel whatever you feel fully, without resistance, and without giving attention to any associated story
•
Enter into the very center of the emotional energy
•
Let the mind become still and soft in relation to that energy
•
It’s okay for any sense of separation to dissolve (the mind merges into the emotion or energy)
•
When the energy has subsided, be in the space of pure being that remains.
