Fusing The Two Flowsvāyu-dvaya-saṃghaṭṭa
Classical Tantrik Yoga
Yukti #36Verse 64
Embodied III
Verse 64vāyu-dvayasya saṃghaṭṭād antar vā bahir antataḥ ।
yogī samatva-vijñāna-samudgamana-bhājanam ॥Due to the fusion of the prāṇa-vāyus at the external or internal terminus, the yogī becomes a ‘worthy vessel’ for the arising of equality-consciousness.
Simplified Steps
•
Practice Yukti #1, but with longer pauses (breath hold) after both inhalation and exhalation, until the prāṇa and apāna fuse and enter the central channel
•
Alternatively, during a long sit, let the inhale and exhale get slowly smaller and subtler until they are scarcely perceptible; then allow the spontaneous pause in which everything dissolves into perfectly still silence
•
As you come out of meditation, contemplate the perfect equality of all things.
