Embodied II
Verse 52kālāgninā kāla-padād utthitena svakaṃ puram ।
pluṣṭaṃ vicintayed ante śāntābhāsas tadā bhavet ॥One may imagine that one’s own body is incinerated by the Fire of Time rising from the feet; at the end [of this process] there is the radiant shining of pure tranquillity; one becomes that peaceful shining.
Simplified Steps
•
Set the intention to ‘burn’ away your body-image and self-images
•
Imagine a white-hot fire igniting in the tips of both toes, and spreading through the feet and then up the legs, hips and torso, until the entire body is enveloped in flame
•
Imagine the body (really, the body-image) totally consumed by the flames, and optionally chant the mantra OṂ SAḤ sabāhyāntarāṃ tanuṃ dahayāmi PHAṬ!
•
Imagine the fire dies down, leaving nothing behind but pure transparency / perfect openness in the shape of a body
