Yukti #94Verse 119
Empowered III
Verse 119vastuṣu smaryamāṇeṣu dṛṣṭe deśe manas tyajet ।
sva-śarīraṃ nirādhāraṃ kṛtvā prasarati prabhuḥ ॥When seeing a place [one has been before], let go of things that arise in the memory (lit., set aside the faculty of attention in relation to remembered objects), and make your body ‘supportless’: [then] the Lord appears.
Planning note: This practice requires you to plan a trip to a place you used to frequently visit
Simplified Steps
•
Go to some place you used to frequent, and notice the memories that arise in association with it
•
Let go of all the memories, and notice that the place itself is free of your memories and thoughts about it.
•
What it is now is not what it was then; in the NOW it’s pure mystery.
•
Notice that likewise, your own body is not reducible to your thoughts about it (even the thought ‘my body’), and abide in the unthinkable NOW.
